Pinkerton’s Distillery in Lubbock, Texas creates some of the finest small-batch artisanal rums around. But in March 2020 owner Lucas Pinkerton abruptly stopped, shifting production overnight to brew hundreds of gallons of free, much needed hand sanitizer for hospitals, police departments, and other first responders battling Covid-19 across the Panhandle.
