Rigsby Hull’s spare, elegant catalog—“refreshingly straightforward,” “charming” and “McSweeny-esque,” according to reviews—houses the most respected communications design exhibition in North America. As chair of this annual juried competition (which dates back to 1924) Rigsby Hull restructured the show as thirteen specialized exhibits for which we wrote selection criteria, and produced this 500-page exhibition catalog.
